Concept
Smart distribution board
A distribution board that reports earth leakage per circuit, energy consumption and switching surges in real time — and uses that information to reduce nuisance tripping caused by leakage current or surges, instead of simply tripping and leaving you to guess why.
Accessible remotely; designed around commodity mobile hardware to keep cost realistic for Indian residential and light commercial installations.
Concept
Carbon footprint visibility for backup power
Most organisations cannot state the carbon footprint of their diesel generators with any confidence, because nobody records which loads ran on the diesel generator (DG), and for how long. The SAMYAN sensor makes that measurable per load. The idea is to turn that measurement into a reporting tool that survives an audit.
Extends our power-source sensing technology.
Concept
Source-aware load control
If a panel knows it is running on a generator, it can shed the right loads automatically rather than tripping on overload — and restore them when the grid returns. The building can then run on a smaller, cheaper generator without losing any critical load.
It also shows, with evidence, whether an installed generator is over- or under-sized.
Concept
Green test benches
Endurance and ageing benches consume a great deal of energy over weeks of running. A bench that measures and reports its own consumption per test makes the energy cost of qualification visible — and gives an engineer something to optimise against.
Already partly implemented in our Industrial IoT benches.
Concept
Competency built into the equipment
Instead of a training register in a filing cabinet, the bench itself knows who is qualified to run which test, and will not start otherwise. Training records, SOP acknowledgement and operator identity become part of the test record rather than a parallel paper trail.
Partially available today through PRATUM and biometric integration.
Concept
Authentication beyond precious metals
Our patented authentication approach was developed for gold assaying, but the mechanism — binding a test result to a single article with a code that dies on sale — applies anywhere a tested product is counterfeited. Electrical safety components are an obvious next candidate.
Open to co-development with manufacturers and certification bodies.
